Parish Councillor vacancy

Brixworth Parish Council has a vacancy for a Parish Councillor.

The Parish Council has now received notification from the Returning Officer at Daventry District Council that the vacancy for a Parish Councillor may be filled by co-option.

Anyone interested in being co-opted should apply in writing to the Council.

Closing date 20 September 2009.

Confirmation of Byelaw

Public Notice

Notice is hereby given that Brixworth Parish Council intends after the expiry of the period mentioned below to apply to the Secretary of State for confirmation of byelaws made by the Council for St David’s Recreation Ground, Spratton Road Recreation Ground and the Ashway Playing Field.

Copies of the byelaws are available from the Clerk to the Council and in Brixworth Library and will be open to inspection without payment for one calendar month from and after the date of the publication of this notice. Copies from the Clerk to the Council will supplied on receipt of an application accompanied by a fee of £2.50 for each copy. Copies of the Byelaws can also be downloaded free of charge.

Any objection to the confirmation of the Byelaws may be made by letter addressed to Communities and Local Government Byelaws Section, 5/G10 Eland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5DU (no later than one week after the closing date for inspection) before the byelaws are confirmed.

DA/2008/1252 Erection of six wind turbines and associated infrastructure including hard standings, on-site tracks, construction compound, permanent meteorological mast, underground cabling, culverting, control building and upgraded site access from the A508. Land west of Hanging Houghton Lodge, Harborough Road, Hanging Houghton, Northants.

7.15pm in the Village Hall, Holcot Road, Brixworth.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. There will be an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting for residents to address the Council.

PUBLIC NOTICE

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE – FOOTPATHS LEADING TO A508 CROSSING (TO COUNTRY PARK) FROM THE ASHWAY AND KNIGHTONS WAY, BRIXWORTH

RESURFACING WORK

WEEK COMMENCING 1 SEPTEMBER 2008

The two footpaths, which cross the A508 Harborough Road from Knightons Way and The Ashway, are to be closed temporarily for approximately 10 days starting week commencing 1 September 2008, for re-grading and surfacing. The contractor will do their best to open the footpaths for the weekend, providing they can leave the surface in a suitable condition.
